ASETS Staff
Organization of ASETS
ASETS is organized, planned and conducted
by the ASETS Advisory Council, interested Rotarians and recent Foundation Scholar
Alumni (scholars who have completed their study period in the last
five years. All Rotary Foundation scholars
and their spouses are welcome, regardless of
their sponsoring or host district. All interested Rotarians and spouses of all
participants are welcome.

History of ASETS
The
multi-district orientation for Rotary Ambassadorial Scholars began in
1997 with 13 scholars, 15 Rotarians, and a staff scholar coordinator from the
Foundation in attendance. It has grown to an attendance of approximately
75 to 100. Some years World Peace Fellows and inbound scholars
meet
with the Ambassadorial Scholars and Rotarians.
Through the years, ASETS scholars have represented Rotary
International, their country, their districts and their clubs
in 65 countries. In 2009, 30 scholars were assigned to 20 countries.
